This study examines the contributions, opportunities, and challenges of Hadith digitalization in advancing Hadith studies in the era of the Industrial Revolution 4.0. Despite growing scholarship on digital religion, limited attention has been paid to students’ experiences in engaging with digital Hadith resources. Addressing this gap, the study employs a qualitative descriptive approach, drawing on interviews with five students in a Hadith Studies program at an Indonesian Islamic higher education institution, supported by documentation. The findings indicate that digitalization enhances access to Hadith knowledge, supports efficient learning, promotes global engagement, and contributes to the preservation of Hadith texts. It also offers opportunities for broader dissemination, cost efficiency, and inclusive access to digital resources. However, challenges remain, including limited internet connectivity, tensions between traditional and digital learning, reduced engagement with printed literature, the need for more innovative platforms, and concerns over authenticity and reliability. The study highlights the need for strengthened digital literacy, rigorous validation of digital content, and collaborative efforts among scholars, educators, and developers to ensure the credibility and sustainability of digital Hadith studies.
